A. Cancellation Policy

Introduction

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither related to their commercial activities nor to their self-employed professional activities.

1) Statutory Right of Withdrawal & Exceptions

For which products does the statutory right of withdrawal apply?

For all ready-made items that are not custom-made for you. This includes our Ready-to-Ship collections (e.g., Promise Rings, Clover Collection). A statutory cancellation period of 14 days after receipt of the merchandise applies to these items.

Exclusion of the Statutory Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and for which the consumer’s individual selection or specification is decisive for their manufacture (Section 312g(2)(1) of the German Civil Code (BGB)).

This applies to the following “made-to-order” products:

• Engagement Rings (from the configurator)
• Wedding Rings (from the configurator)
• Memoire Rings
• Custom Orders & Special Requests (individual special requests that cannot be configured using the configurator)

Statutory warranty rights (rights arising from defects) remain unaffected by this.

2) Velur's Voluntary Return and Exchange Policy

In addition to your statutory right of withdrawal, we offer the following voluntary policies as a gesture of goodwill:

Ready-to-Ship & Standard Jewellery

You can return these items in full and free of charge within 30 days of receipt. We will provide you with a free return label.

Engagement Rings (Made-to-Order)

Within 60 days of receipt, you have two options:

1. Free Exchange: Exchange the ring for another model of your choice at no cost. We'll provide you with a free return label.
2. Refunds: We will refund the purchase price minus a 20% processing fee. In this case, the buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs of €6.00 (UPS label). The refund will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the merchandise, using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Wedding Bands & Memoire Rings (Made-to-Order)

Because they are highly customised, wedding bands and memory rings are excluded from the voluntary exchange and return policy.

Custom-Made Products & Special Requests

Completely excluded from returns and exchanges.

Important Note: If a piece of jewellery does not match the images or the specifications you ordered, you may, of course, return it in its entirety at no cost—with no fees and no deductions. The restrictions listed above apply only if you are not satisfied with the item.

3) Exercising the Right of Withdrawal & Returns

To exercise your right of withdrawal (for applicable products) or to request a voluntary return, you must notify us by sending a clear statement via email:

Returns from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can be shipped to our logistics partner in Germany. The merchandise must be returned immediately, no later than fourteen days after the notice of cancellation, to the following address:

Consequences of Cancellation (for applicable products)

We will refund all payments received, including standard shipping costs, without delay, no later than fourteen days after we receive the returned merchandise. We will use the same payment method as was used for the original transaction. We may withhold the refund until we have received the merchandise or until you have provided proof of return.

You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods if such loss is attributable to handling that goes beyond what is necessary to assess the nature, characteristics, and functionality of the goods.

4) Note on Financed Transactions (Klarna)

If you finance this contract through a loan (e.g., Klarna instalment plan) and later cancel it, you are no longer bound by the loan agreement either, provided that both contracts form a single economic unit. In this case, your lender will assume our rights and obligations with regard to the legal consequences of the cancellation. For more information, please refer to Klarna’s terms and conditions.
