The Radiant combines a rectangular outline with cut corners and the faceting of a brilliant-cut diamond. As a result, it has the clear contours of a step cut but sparkles with vibrancy. In our live inventory, you’ll find radiant-cut diamonds—both lab-grown and naturally formed—each certified by IGI or GIA, with transparent pricing and a 14-day right of return.

Standard length-to-width ratio: 1.25–1.40
Laboratories do not assign an overall cut grade to the Radiant. Check the polish and symmetry—ideally “Excellent” or “Very Good”—as well as the table and depth. The Radiant tends to have slightly more depth, which adds weight without increasing the surface area. Traditionally, the length-to-width ratio ranges from 1.25 to 1.40; square variations range from 1.00 to 1.05.
The brilliant-cut facets give the Radiant a gentle appearance. Inclusions are less noticeable than in an emerald cut; an SI1 diamond is often eye-clean. When it comes to color, however, it is less forgiving than a cushion cut because the corners and elongated outline concentrate warmth. G to H look calm in white gold; in yellow gold, a shade darker also works well.
A 1-carat radiant measures approximately 6.5 × 5.0 mm; a 1.5-carat radiant measures approximately 7.4 × 5.7 mm; and a 2-carat radiant measures approximately 8.2 × 6.3 mm. Because the cut is relatively deep, it appears smaller from above than an oval of the same weight, but it looks compact and has clearly defined edges.
The outline is similar, but the interior is not. The emerald cut is a step cut with soft, broad flashes of light. The radiant cut has brilliant facets and sparkles with a fine, detailed play of light. For this reason, the radiant cut is more forgiving of inclusions, while the emerald cut requires a higher degree of clarity.
Yes. The square radiant has a length-to-width ratio of 1.00 to 1.05 and appears more compact, while the elongated radiant has a ratio of 1.25 to 1.40. Both variants have beveled corners, which make the stone more durable in its most vulnerable areas than a princess cut.
SI1 is often sufficient to give the impression of a flawless stone, because the facets refract light from small inclusions. VS2 is the safer choice for larger stones or when inclusions are centered beneath the table. You can find the exact location in the diagram on the IGI or GIA certificate.
Yes. The cut-off corners remove exactly the area that is most likely to be damaged on pointed shapes. Four prongs are usually sufficient, and a half-bezel setting provides additional protection for the edge. We’ll discuss the setting with you before we begin production.
Lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds are both composed of pure carbon and share the same crystal structure, hardness, and refractive index. The difference lies in their formation: one forms over millions of years in the Earth’s crust, while the other is created in a matter of weeks in a laboratory. Visually, they are indistinguishable without specialized laboratory equipment. Lab-grown diamonds are significantly less expensive than comparable natural diamonds, which is why you can often get more carats or a higher clarity grade for the same budget. Both types are certified by IGI or GIA; you can look up the report number directly with the lab.
